Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease which affects the lungs and/or other organs in the body. When one has Tuberculosis, they often cough up blood and have an on going dry or bloody cough. The condition can be effectively treated with the right medication and symptoms and the disease can clear up in around 6 months. TB is passed on from one to another via laughing, talking, sneezing, coughing or even singing.

The main features/characteristics of TB are as follows:

If you think you have TB, you must get in contact with your doctor immediately. If you do have tuberculosis, the best thing to do is to stay well away from anyone and it will go away with help from the right medication. Patients who are on medication for TB treatment should really try to avoid alchohol until the treatment is no longer needed. Damage to heart and other affected organs is usually long-term. |
